HOUSTON — Following his defeat to Ed Emmett in the Republican Primary for Harris County Judge, conservative leader Charles Bacarisse today issued the following statement:
I offer my sincere congratulations to Judge Emmett on his clear victory, and have already pledged to help him and our ticket carry a conservative message to the voters in the general election. It was a tough primary fight, and now that the voters have spoken it’s time for all Republicans to come together and stand for the values we share.
I also wish to thank those who rallied to our cause — our poll and phone bank workers, our grassroots leadership, our donors, and most of all those who voted with us. Please know the gratitude in my heart for your friendship and support knows no bounds.
Most of all, I want to thank my family — my wife Jana Fay, and our kids Charles and Ellen. They’ve sacrificed a great deal over the years so that I might serve our community, and I look forward to devoting more time to my two most important jobs as a dad and husband.
